i was eating cake the other night and drinking milk when i accidentally knocked over my cup and the milk spilled onto my keyboard. there was literally like a spoonful of milk left but it did enough damage. it spilled onto the top right corner of the keyboard so now my backspace, delete, and home button doesn't work. my backspace!! T_T im starting to realize just how many mistakes i make when i type. siiigh. my dad says the only option is to get my keyboard replaced so i have to wait until spring break to do that.
on another note, i'm figuring out more and more what my pet peeve is. i remember in elementary school, we had descriptions under our pictures in the yearbook. one of the questions would always be 'what is your pet peeve?'. i never had an answer for that until now. and it is people who are late to appointments or cancel at the last minute. it really annoys me to no end. i hate waiting. if you say to meet at a certain time, i will be there at that time. why can't anyone else do the same thing? it's just good manners in my opinion. and asians are always late for some reason -_-

our school has a club that's called GU art aficionados. i'm proud to say that one of my friends founded it ^_^ the club is having a series of printmaking workshops in the upcoming weeks and i really want to go. except none of my friends are into that kind of thing -__- my roommate would totally go but she has work wednesday nights so that's a nogo. i finally found someone though! and then we started talking about art and i miss it. i've taken art lessons since i was 4 but stopped when i left canada. i was pretty good at it too. i also stopped piano when i moved, which is something i've always regretted. but im really excited for these workshops :)

a watercolor i did.

remember back in the day when everyone had xangas? girls would post lyrics to songs in hopes that the boy they liked would read it and get the message. except boys will always be boys = dense. i miss those sweet and innocent days. therefore, i am going to post some lyrics. it doesn't necessarily mean anything more. i just thought its sorta the theme for last semester and this semester so far. plus, no one reads this except for kiwi, so this is dedicated to you hehe ^^
do you know what you started
i just came here to party
but now we're rockin' on the dance floor
acting naughty
your hands around my waist
just let the music play
we're hand in hand
chest to chest
and now we're face to face
i wanna take you away
lets escape into the music
DJ let it play
i just can't refuse it
like the way you do this
keep on rockin' to it
please don't stop the music
please don't stop the music

lately, i've been talking to someone online quite a bit and getting to know him better. he said something yesterday that made me think. he asked about one of my friends and how he didn't know her that well. i told him that he can get to know her just like how he's been getting to know me. then he said that even though she's really nice, he thinks im more approachable and outgoing. for some reason, that really surprised. i've never thought of myself as an outgoing person. i've always been kinda shy and my dad used to call me nina shy (get it?). but i guess i've tried to be better and not shy(har har)away from meeting new people. i hate awkward conversations so i ask a lot of questions to keep it going. maybe that's how i come off as really friendly? i have no idea. also, i think that since the person doesn't know me, he/she doesn't need to know that im normally shy. i probably give them the wrong impression of me cause once i get to know a person well, i tend to get real lazy and talk less -__-
on another note, me and kiwi spent a long time looking up pick-up lines online tonight. some of them are sooo corny. my roommate asked if i would ever fall for them. i think if the guy delivered it really well, then i would. haha. i'm a sucker for those kind of things. it's the hopeless romantic in me.
speaking of which, is it possible to like 2 people at the same time? or at least have feelings for both? how do you choose between the two. hmmm...

1. I am Chinese Canadian. Yes, not Chinese American. My citizenship is from Canada and I only have a greencard in the US.
2. I lived in Spain for 2 years when I was 6 to 8 years old. I spoke fluent Spanish when I was there but sadly, I forgot it all. I would love to pick it up again someday. Hopefully, it’s just hidden somewhere deep in my mind.
3. I really wanted to join the Marines when I was little. Something about it seemed very glamorous to me. Maybe it was their outfits. I even wrote to them and received a pen in the mail haha.
4. Even though I left China when I was 6, I have a lot of Chinese pride. If you talk shit about my motherland, I will smack you.
5. I am a hopeless romantic. And watching all these Asian dramas only increases my expectations of men, love, and the whole shebang -__-.
6. I loveeee shopping. However, I hate the process of trying on clothes. It tires me out.
7. One of my dream jobs is to work at the Woolong Panda Reserve and play with baby pandas all day :D
8. I have really small hands. Next time you see, let’s compare.
9. I don’t know how to ride a bicycle. When I left China, I was still on training wheels and I just never learned after that.
10. Every Thanksgiving, I put on The Sound of Music and eat a pomegranate while watching it. I peel the fruit, put all the seeds in a bowl, and then eat it with a spoon.
11. I collect state quarters. I have all the ones released up until this year and there’s only like 3 left out of all 50 states.
12. You know how every girl dreams about her wedding and plans for it starting in like middle school? Well, I already have my wedding photographers picked out. I found them one day randomly online and I am absolutely in love with their work. Ask me and I’ll tell you who they are ;)
13. My friend Lisa and I decided way back in the day that if we don’t/can’t find jobs, we’ll start our own gas station. It will be called Cherish_Bunniez.
14. Speaking of Lisa, I have known her all my life. Like literally. We were born 12 days apart in China, grew up together, separated when our families moved to different countries, and reunited here in American in 8th grade. Our families still go on yearly vacations together <3 (Look at end of note for picture.)
15. Out of all the cities in the world, I think I know Paris the best after spending 6 weeks there last summer. I’m dying to go back.
16. I love to read, especially pointless novels. It’s the only thing to get me off the internet. Once I pick up a book, I will read it nonstop until I finish it. In middle school, I used to go to the public library and get around 10 books. Then I would be back within a week to get more.
17. My birthday is on 4.20. Enough said.
18. When I count in numbers, I tend to do it in Chinese, whether out loud or in my head. It’s just so much easier in my opinion.
19. If I could have a sibling, I would want an older brother. I like the idea of having bring protective over me and looking out for me always. Yes I know, parents do that too, but it’s different with siblings.
20. I take A LOT of pictures, in case you haven’t noticed from Facebook. My camera goes with me everywhere.
21. I have a soft spot for guys who are good with children and/or play an instrument.
22. My favorite character is Dao Mingsi/Doumyouji Tsukasa/Goo Joonpyo from Meteor Garden/Hana Yori Dango/Boys Over Flowers. The whole deal about the rich and tough guy giving up everything for the girl he loves…siiigh <3.
23. If you offer me chocolate, I cannot say no. I have a huge sweet tooth.
24. I can hold a very long grudge.
25. I’m a stockholder of TD Bank haha. I attended a business camp in high school where I received shares to Commerce Bank for free but they were bought over by TD so my stocks transferred. Every so often, I get a check in the mail for about a dollar’s worth as dividends. It’s annoying having to deposit that every time.

so i'm currently watching, along with the rest of the world, the korean drama "boys over flowers". it's so addicting. while "meteor garden" holds a very special place in my heart because it was the start of my obsession with asian dramas, i might like the korean adaptation better. my favorite character EVER is that of dao mingsi/doumyouji tsukasa/goo joonpyo. i absolutely love the whole tough/badass boy who would do anything and give up everything to be with the girl he loves. swoon. now if only there were men like that in real life. or one for me at least. hey, a girl can dream :D
in today's episode, joonpyo gives jandi a necklace that symbolizes their love. it's one of a kind. i bet there's gonna be imitations of that necklace all over korea. it's really cute!

the star outside is joonpyo while the moon on the inside is jandi. joopyo tells jandi that she's inside because the star can never leave the moon. so sweet <3
