sometimes, i feel like i expect too much out of my friends. but then if i am able to do this (whatever it is), why can't my friends do it too?

guess what i did today? i shot a gun! O.O

my friend has membership to a shooting range and he gets to bring another person for free. i got a 9mm caliber pistol. to be honest, i was extremely nervous when i first held the gun and i had no idea what to expect making the first shot. my friend demonstrated for me first and all i have to say is that it's LOUD. and i was wearing ear protectors too. i was actually afraid to press down on the trigger at first. when i finally did, i was surprised at how powerful it was. the recoil was pretty strong. i managed to hit near the target a few times. all in all, it was definitely an interesting experience. i now know how to load and shoot a gun. watch out ;)

when im at school, all i want to do is go home. but when im finally home, all i want to do is go back to school? why is that? oh i know why, because my parents will never stop lecturing. its the same thing over and over gain. i get it already! today, my mom lectured me at the food court in the mall. i think we've reached a whole new level on the lecturing.

i should really be studying or sleeping right now but i'm too angry/annoyed to do anything productive. so...i shall blog about my evening.

the kennedy center has this program for people between the ages of 17-25 where you can get tickets to select shows for a really cheap price. tonight, kiwi and i went to see the new york city ballet perform. i got us orchestra seats for only $20! it was both our first times watching ballet live so we were extremely excited for the show. most of the people seated around us were old couples. i thought it was extremely cute. i would love to see shows with my husband when we're old and have nothing to do. it's very romantic :D

i was mesmorized the second the show started. the dancers are freakishly skinny but in a way, it's quite beautiful because it gives them that willowy effect when they dance. it really is beautiful how light on their feet they are. and the men, they are so muscular! haha. i think every girl at some point wanted to be a ballerina until they realize it's more than just wearing a tutu. it really is a form of discipline...just look at their feet. i remember gaining so much respect for ballerinas after watching the movie "center stage". it's one of my top movies <3

i was eating cake the other night and drinking milk when i accidentally knocked over my cup and the milk spilled onto my keyboard. there was literally like a spoonful of milk left but it did enough damage. it spilled onto the top right corner of the keyboard so now my backspace, delete, and home button doesn't work. my backspace!! T_T im starting to realize just how many mistakes i make when i type. siiigh. my dad says the only option is to get my keyboard replaced so i have to wait until spring break to do that.

on another note, i'm figuring out more and more what my pet peeve is. i remember in elementary school, we had descriptions under our pictures in the yearbook. one of the questions would always be 'what is your pet peeve?'. i never had an answer for that until now. and it is people who are late to appointments or cancel at the last minute. it really annoys me to no end. i hate waiting. if you say to meet at a certain time, i will be there at that time. why can't anyone else do the same thing? it's just good manners in my opinion. and asians are always late for some reason -_-

our school has a club that's called GU art aficionados. i'm proud to say that one of my friends founded it ^_^ the club is having a series of printmaking workshops in the upcoming weeks and i really want to go. except none of my friends are into that kind of thing -__- my roommate would totally go but she has work wednesday nights so that's a nogo. i finally found someone though! and then we started talking about art and i miss it. i've taken art lessons since i was 4 but stopped when i left canada. i was pretty good at it too. i also stopped piano when i moved, which is something i've always regretted. but im really excited for these workshops :)
